We have compiled a list of answers to FAQ's that may help you solve a problem or provide some knowledge that will assist you in producing or planning your next project with Hammer. Unfortunately, we cannot anticipate every need or question so feel free to contact Hammer to get one-on-one answers to your questions (or simply use the question form provided below to receive an e-mail response).

What is Hammer' forte?
We pride ourselves on manufacturing exacting work under the tightest of schedules while never sacrificing quality or service.

Is Hammer a minority-owned company?
Yes, we are proud to be a woman-owned corporation.

How many shifts does Hammer run?
We run a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week manufacturing operation.

How quickly does Hammer turn around estimates?
We respond to virtually all requests for quotation within 24 hours. We're also happy to respond "on demand" when required.

What geographic area does Hammer service and support?
The majority of Hammer clientele is situated in the Greater New York Metropolitan area. However, we do work with ordering locations as distant as San Francisco and Seattle and naturally, we deliver material worldwide.

Does Hammer do everything "under one roof?"
In addition to electronic and conventional prep and press, we also have a full service bindery along with extensive lettershop, fulfillment and warehousing services.

What type of media are you capable of accepting?
We accept client files on floppy disk, SyQuest cartridge, Zip disk, Jaz disk, Optical disk, CD-ROM and digital audio tape. We also receive files via FTP and over the internet.

How does Hammer do its part to protect the environment?
At Hammer, our designated Environment Officer insures we comply with or exceed OSHA and EPA regulations. We recycle everything from plates and pressroom/bindery waste paper to pallets, barrels, corrugated - even bottles and cans! We are also an active member of The Key Environmental Recycling Family through whom we recycle all waste solvents. As a socially responsible corporation, we are obligated to do our part.
